I left the UK and moved to Dubai almost 10 years ago. At the time, I was struggling with pressure from my family to get a mortgage, having just got married. Islamic mortgages, fintechs, and digital Muslim banks simply did not exist. The very few that did sucked the life and soul out of you — from poor customer service to awful digital experiences.

Moving to Dubai, I was inspired by the love the city had for gold. Gold is literally like teardrops of the sun. And Dubai is the capital of gold on earth.

Combining my passion for technology, history, and Islamic heritage, I created a brand that all people — all cultures, and especially Muslims — can turn to for gold. A brand where you can buy gold, enjoy gold, pass it down to loved ones through generations, and protect and preserve your wealth without compromising your beliefs.

I wanted to ensure that every Muslim nikah begins with real mahr — real gold and silver, gifted in love and passed on in legacy.

Too often today, this sacred Sunnah is lost in a sea of impulsive spending, unstable money, or meaningless trinkets. Weddings have become incredibly lavish, made for social media — and too often, the sacred bond and joyous moment of a couple in the sight of Allah is forgotten.

I wanted to change that.

The Islamic Dinar and Dirham were not the solution — they are difficult to source, manufacture, and come with a negative political connotation in today’s markets.

So we set out to build more than just an Islamic mint — we built Amanah.

An Islamic brand designed for the modern world, and at the same time, timeless — for a future shaped by artificial intelligence. Because no matter how digital the world becomes, nothing beats physical gold and silver. Why?
